Ventus 2c The high aspect ratio wing shape makes the Vetnus 2c a very elegant sailplane.
My model has a wing span of 4.8 meters and is equipped with electric motor for autonomous flying. However I didn't install one of these nice dorsal mounted, retraceable motor systems, the simple nose fixed folding propeller does a great job.
The gliding performances of the Venctus 2c are excellent!
Techical Data: Manufacturer: Rödel Modellbau (Germany) Style: Fiber-glass reinforced epoxy fuselage, Foam/Abachi Wings Dimensions: 4.8 meters wing spann, TOW 6 kg Propulsion: Hacker C40 with gear, 16 NiMh cells, Aeronaut folding propeller RC: 7 Volz Micro Maxx Servos, 2 Futaba standard servos (rudder, gear)
Spider X The Spider X is a full carbon high performance sailplane.
With its aerodynamic, slim shaped fuselage and the thin airfoil the Spider X reaches very high speeds. Originally the Spider X is designed for slope soaring, but the electric version allows flying in flat regions as well.
My propulsion system allows almost vertical climb. The capacity of the battery allows four minutes of full throttle, this corresponds to estimated 2000 to 2500 meters of altitude gain. Without speeding, a total flight time of one hour without any thermal assistance is feasible - incredible performances!
Technical data: Dimensions: 2.5 meters wing span, weight: unknown Propulsion: Kontronik Fun 501 Drive set with a 3S2P Lipo with a total capacity of 4200mAh RC: 6 high performance Hitec actuators
